Poland 2
Poland 2
After developing another black and white film here are some more pictures of Poland.
In Krakow we ran into a nice concert of the Master Musicians Of Bukkake, a noisy group from the US. On The poster i saw in a cafe, the band looked like a bunch of Turaeg Nomads, so we decided to see the band. We didn’t regret it. On the poster it was told that they would play in a “garden arena” which appeared to be a very little place inbetween some buildings next to a kind of “youth centre”. Anyway, the atmosphere was nice, specially after drinking the local speciality “Mad Dog”, vodka with some sweet berry stuff and tobasco, an explosive mixture if you ask me. Some locas told me this is actually the light version called “Mad Puppy”, the real Mad Dog is with a kind of alcohol of 95%, but we didn’t try that one, seems more a kind of alcoholics drink.
The first picture i took in a nice gallery in Kazimierz: Popiellnik (www.popielnik.pl)
The second picture i took in a record shop in Kazimierz: “High Fidelity”. The visitor on the right is one of the band members of Kroke (http://www.kroke.krakow.pl/), a kind of Klezmer band, which uses influences by differend kinds of music. He just brought the vinyl version of their first album, just came out!. I spent many hours in the shop, listening to the music the nice owner showed me and discussing many subjects. During that time many people came in and out, like a crazy (nice) Belgian DJ Wim, who lives in a camper and plays his records in the local bars. We saw him dj-ing in the Propaganda, played a lot of the music i play.
