De Stadslimiet

After Dennis Tyfus (with his label Ultra Eczema) and Vaast Colson had to leave the Gunther space, because the guy who rented the place wanted to raise the rent big time, they found a new space in the center of Antwerp. Now it’s based in a garage-feel type of space next to the river the Schelde at the Ernest Van Dijckaai 4. The space is smaller than the Gunther, but the atmosphere is of course the most important. Here follows a selection of pictures from the last weeks. I was surprised by the very nice self-built “instruments” by Baudouin Oosterlynck. I knew him by the great lp box from the ‘70s, beautiful released by the Metaphon records label (by the owner Timo Van Luyk)

First thing i saw was the Gebraden Zwaan (roasted swan), who created sounds which he recorded live on cassette tape, cutted that tape into pieces and made new loop cassettes, which could be bought (an official Ultra Eczema release)

LP presentation of Ze Barbies, a punk group from the early 80‘s in Antwerp. They only existed for a short periode and brought out one live cassette, which now is re-released by Dennis Tyfus on his Ultra Eczema label
